RCMP RELEASE:
On August 21, 2024, at approximately 10:00 a.m., Kitscoty RCMP were notified that a personal aircraft had crashed, near the Saskatchewan boarder, shortly after takeoff. Kitscoty and Maidstone RCMP, EMS and Fire attended and located the aircraft and pilot. The single occupant, a 46-year-old male resident of Rivercourse, was declared deceased at the scene.
Transport Canada are investigating the incident.
RCMP would like to extend our condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
