Vermilion RCMP investigate death of dog
Vermilion, Alta. – On Aug. 15, 2024, Vermilion RCMP began an investigation into a complaint regarding the death of a dog. According to the initial report, the pet owner had entrusted the care of their dog to another person and upon attempting to retrieve their pet, the dog was discovered deceased. Following a thorough investigation, an individual has been charged in connection to this incident.
Tyler Schira, a 32-year-old resident of Vermilion, has been charged with the following offences:
- Cause unnecessary suffering to an animal
- Fail to provide for an animal in care
Tyler is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 20, 2024, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Vermilion.
