Lloydminster RCMP investigate over $130,000 stolen from ATM
Lloydminster, Alta. – Lloydminster RCMP have arrested a suspect in relation to a significant ATM cash related theft which occurred on Dec. 29, 2024, around 10 a.m. At that time, Lloydminster RCMP had responded to this report of break and enter to an ATM located near 39 Avenue and 50 Street, in Lloydminster. Police investigation determined the suspects gained entry into an ATM machine, and over $130,000 in cash was reported stolen. The expenses for the damage and replacement costs of the ATM were nearly $30,000.
Lloydminster RCMP conducted an extensive investigation, which included canvassing local businesses for video surveillance and completing numerous judicial authorizations. Through these investigative efforts, police were able to identify a female suspect.
With the assistance of the Calgary Fugitive Apprehension Team, Mandy Breadlaw (40), a resident of Calgary, was located and arrested on 26 outstanding arrest warrants. Breadlaw was held in custody is appearing at the Alberta Court of Justice in Wainwright, Alta., on January 15, 2026. Breadlaw is facing the following charges:
- Break and Enter
- Mischief over $5000
- Theft over $5000
“This investigation required a significant commitment of resources and strong collaboration between multiple policing partners,” said Sergeant Christopher Byford, Lloydminster RCMP. “The assistance of local businesses and law enforcement partners was critical in identifying and locating the suspect, which helped to bring this investigation to a successful conclusion.”
