Lloydminster RCMP advises of heavy police presence – update #2
Lloydminster, Alta. – On Sept. 21, 2026, around 11:09 a.m., Lloydminster RCMP were dispatched to a shooting that took place on 50 avenue. The victim, who has been identified as 22-year-old Lloydminster resident Nolan Whitestone, was declared deceased on scene. Further investigation and analysis of the footage revealed a suspect, who is still at large and believed to be in possession of the firearm. As a result, Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has laid a charge of 2nd degree murder against 40-year-old Lloydminster resident Randy Lysohirka and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Randy is described as:
- Light complexion;
- 5 feet, 7 inches;
- 160 pounds;
- Black hair; and
- Brown eyes.
