A Night of Laughter, Connection, and Community: Marwayne Ladies Night Out Returns in Support of the Agriplex Improvement Project
Marwayne, AB – February 2025
In small communities like Marwayne, the places where we gather are more than just buildings—they are the heart of our town, the spaces where friendships are formed, families come together, and memories are made. On March 29, 2025, the 3rd Annual Marwayne Ladies Night Out offers an evening of connection and entertainment, all while raising funds for the Agriplex Improvement Project.
This year’s event will feature Jennie Ogilvie: Canada’s Unconventional Medium, a speaker known for her sharp wit, engaging storytelling, and ability to bring people together. Her performances are a mix of humour, honesty, and insight, making this an evening unlike any other. The event will take place at the Marwayne Community Hall, doors open at 6:30 PM, with Jennie taking the stage at 7:00 PM. Enjoy charcuterie and cash bar, and shop the silent auction items and raffle tickets for amazing prizes!
A Community Gathering for a Cause
While Ladies Night Out promises an evening of fun, the event is about something much bigger—investing in the future of our community. Every ticket sold and every dollar raised will go toward the Agriplex Improvement Project, an initiative dedicated to upgrading both the arena and curling rink. These improvements will ensure that Marwayne remains a hub for recreation, sport, agriculture, and cultural events for generations to come.
The Agriplex is where young athletes take their first strides on skates, where families cheer from the stands, and where lifelong friendships are formed. But after years of wear and tear, the facilities need critical upgrades to continue serving the community at its best.
Funds from this year’s event will contribute to:
• Replacing the arena ice surface and brine lines
• Installing a new ice plant to serve both the curling rink and arena
• Enhancing the arena with new boards, plexiglass, and bleachers
The Marwayne Ag Society, alongside its dedicated Task Force, has worked tirelessly to bring this vision to life. With a total budget of $3 million, this multi-phase project will help ensure that the Agriplex remains a cornerstone of the Marwayne community for years to come.
Every ticket purchased for Ladies Night Out is a step toward securing the future of the Agriplex, ensuring that it continues to be a place where memories are made and community spirit thrives. Tickets are available for purchase online at bit.ly/MarwayneLadiesNightOutTickets.
